On Tucker Carlson’s Lies
Apropos of last night’s post, the extreme right wing radical arm of the Republican Party’s Joseph Goebbels (T[F]ucker Carlson) as was both predictable and predicted by everyone except Kevin McCarthy, cherry picked from the 44,000 hours of video he was given exclusive access to by “Speaker” McCarthy and lied through his teeth about the events of January 6th. Some Senate Republicans, embarrassed by the lies and wanting to separate themselves from both McCarthy and Carlson, spoke out against it. But others — Josh Hawley as one example — doubled down on the lie. House Republicans on the other hand, having no such sensibilities, doubled down on or ignored the lies. MarjorieQ even went so far as to say the “QAnon Shaman”, Jack Chansley should be given a new trial. Apparently it is lost on her that having been charged and having the charges explained to him, he pled guilty and there was no trial. And now the family of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick’s family has had the lie about his death repeated publicly one more time. Their pain is beyond description. Hopefully they will be able to bring suit against him for creating that pain and finally — finally — feel some consequences for his lies.
But now, having wallowed in the filth of Tucker Carlson’s lies more than I find comfortable, I’d like to share with you one of the most beautiful of places in our Great American West, the Taos Pueblo.
