On the day after TACO Don directed ICE to stop all immigrant raids at farms, restaurants, hotels, and the like, he also directed ICE to stop so-called 'collateral arrests' where they randomly detain and arrest non-criminal immigrants. Let it be known that on the eve of the largest nationwide revolt against America's wannabe king, he taco'd out and threw in the white flag before the protests even began. And while he continues to pretend he’s in charge, today the American People showed they are still in control. So he had his parade. Whatever the cost. But he, himself, weak bully/coward that he is, is the loser he hates.
Tomorrow, however is Father’s Day and with a noontime celebratory meal here in my community with friends and a drive into NYC and back to celebrate Father’s Day with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, I will be taking the night off. But first a tribute to my dad who died too young at 76 and who would have been 109 this past April. Like many of his generation, he found it hard to express love, but he was always the best dad he knew how to be.
As a boy with his sister who would be my aunt and his beloved baseball bat.
With my mom, the love of his life, shortly before they were married on May 30, 1937.

Dancing with my bride at our wedding — July 30, 1961.
Together with my father-in-law at my son’s Bar Mitzvah in 1972.
And speaking of my son, a Father’s Day tribute to him as well. He is, quite simply, the best dad I know who always makes me proud.
With his bride-to-be just three months before their wedding.

Daddy Dan. Again.

You old softie! The photos are wonderful. Thank your lucky stars you still have yours. The one of your dad with his GI buddies sparks a memory of an uncle who was among the crew of one of those huge lumbering aircraft of WWII. We've lived through some truly memorable historical events. Thanks for sharing.
Your photos and comments made me cry. I loved them very much!!
