“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
George Orwell, “1984”
And it is the one command which must never be followed.
What is the difference between Donald John the reality tv star and Donald John the President of the United States? Both are narcissistic. Both are self centered and selfish. Both believe conspiracy theories and hate easily. Both love only themselves. Both enter into petty feuds easily and pursue them beyond all reason. Both treat those with whom they feud as if they were hateful enemies to be destroyed by fair means or foul. Where they differ is in the power they wield with whom they choose to feud. The reality tv star feuded with the likes of Rosie O’Donnell and wielded whatever media and/or reporters he could control or influence. The President of the United States feuds with world leaders such as Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, and — sometimes — Xi Jinping of China. But never Vladimir Putin of Russia or Kim Jong Un of North Korea. He also feuds with American institutions. Harvard University being the most visible recent example. And the weapons he wields are the awesome powers of the American presidency stretched beyond recognition by one for whom the Constitution is an annoyance rather than the law of the land and the Supreme Court an obstacle to be overcome rather than the arbiter of the law. And so in a pique, he cuts off his nose to spite his face, withdraws research funding from one of the foremost research institutions in the country and then followed that up by barring Harvard from having international students. Not from enrolling new students but from HAVING such students. International students at Harvard have been told to find another school. That’s one thing for an undergraduate student. It’s quite another thing for a PhD candidate in the third year of a four year program.
So, what’s the point? Remember that all of this little essay is merely an example. The point, from Donald John’s perspective is the expansion of his powers until the presidency is so powerful that he can wield dictatorial powers. It is the point of everything he does and why deep inside his huge heinous bill is buried an undercutting of the judiciary’s ability to enforce its orders.

I will never understand how anyone could look at this guy and say "yeah, that's my guy!" Even back in 2016 he was a dolt, buffoon and failure.
